Independent project in NEATA
Mutural inspiration and exchange between independent theatre in NEATA

Main purpose:
To inspire and exchange workmethods in independent theatre in NEATA.

Definition of independent theatre:
Young, serious, ambitious theatregroups that works on a very high level. Independent of State theatre, economy and .... The groups works in projects, which means that sometimes they work for an intensive period of time, and some times they work with other projects.

Step 1:
TeaterHUSET in Copenhagen, Denmark will be the organizers of the project. They will try to get in contact with groups in NEATA contries. The contact is very important for the first step and for the project. The contact will be about the contend of the meeting between the groups.

Demands of the participating groups:

• Age: 18-30
• Work on an independent level ; work on a high level of amateur theatre
• The director must be ready to participate in the first workshop weekend in 2006
• The whole group must be able to travel to one of the participating countries in 2007
• The language is English, and it's important that the groups can work in English, can speak it fluently, understand it completely and that the director or one from the group can teach in English.

Step 2:
A meeting between directors of the groups in spring or fall 2006 - it depends on how good the contact between TeaterHUSET and the directors will be.

Step 3:
A meeting between the groups.

The concept of the project will develop during the contact between TeaterHUSET and the directors, during the weekend where the directors will meet and of course during the big meeting between the groups, where they work together for a short period of time.
